Tuttle

About Tuttle

Located in the northeast portion of Grady County, Tuttle is growing rapidly. Tuttle was developed as a farming and ranching community east of the Chisholm Trail. The town is named after local rancher James H. Tuttle, a Choctaw by marriage and the father of automobile dealer and politico Holmes Tuttle.

Tuttle residents enjoy a high standard of living which is reflected in the 53% increase in residential growth since 1990. Most of the homes are built with living areas of at least 2,000 square feet or more. Residents actively support the town's "Tuttle Tigers" both inside and outside of the classroom. The town is home to the 2003 Heisman Trophy Winner, Jason White.

Tuttle is a largely agricultural community with a focus on wheat, cotton, corn, alfalfa hay, Bermuda grass hay, and cattle. Braum's Dairy is located just outside the city's limits and is the largest farm in the area. The city honors its local corporate giant with an Ice Cream Festival on July 4th every year! You won't want to miss it.
