Mustang

About Mustang

Mustang, Oklahoma is one of the fastest growing cities in Canadian County. This community neighbors Oklahoma City but has its own unique history. It's roots date back to the Oklahoma Land Run of 1889! Agriculture has historically been one of the city’s biggest economies, and there are plenty of farms around to prove it.

There's plenty to do here. You can learn more about the city's past by visiting the Mustang Historical Museum, or get outside with a trip to Wild Horse Park. This 158-acre complex includes trails, a playground, pond, picnic pavilions, sporting complexes and an aquatic facility. Mustang has plenty of restaurants to delight hungry families.

Mustang's largest community event, Western Days, is held every year in September. This annual celebration, held on the first full weekend following Labor Day, features contests, gospel music, a pancake breakfast, parade, Canadian County Cornhole Championship, rodeo and more.
