El Reno

About El Reno

El Reno, Oklahoma lies at the crossroads of Route 66 and the Chisholm Trail, known now as U.S. Highway 81. It's a deeply historic town offering an authentic rail trolley through the historic downtown area. You can stop to shop the antique and specialty stores or devour one of El Reno's famous onion burgers. The famous burgers grew so popular they even have their own festival: the annual El Reno Fried Onion Burger Day Festival; where the world's largest onion burger is cooked and served to the crowd!

Lake El Reno offers the more adventurous swimming, camping, fishing, and picnic areas located just off of I40. Located just four miles west of the city, Fort Reno hosts the Tombstone Tales each fall, featuring Buffalo Soldiers, Indian scouts and even German prisoners of World War II sharing their stories.
